School Day

Comet Nursery School and Children's Centre is open from:

8.00am- 5.45pm
 
The school office is open from 8.00am-4.15pm
 

Nursery School:

You can register your child for the nursery school and place them on the admissions list once they are 2 years old. 

At Comet we offer 15 hours of free nursery education for children who are 3-4 years old or 30 hours of free nursery entitlement to those who meet the criteria. If a place is available, your child will be offered a place the term following their 3rd birthday.

Places are offered according to the Hackney Learning Trust's Schools' Admissions Policy.

Our sessions are:

Morning sessions 9.00am - 11.30am, with 1 full day of 9am-3.15pm
Afternoon sessions 12.45pm - 3.15pm, with 1 full day of 9am-3.15pm
Full Time sessions 9.00am - 3.00pm (with a 30 hour code or with top-up fees)

Top-up your part-time place to a full time place

We also offer the opportunity for families to ‘top-up’ their child’s 15 hour free nursery entitlement (Sun & Star Class ONLY) to a full time place (totalling 30 hours). The full-time hours will be 9.00am-3.00pm, Monday to Friday. This can be extended from 8am to 5.45pm by applying for our breakfast and tea club provision, further information is available from the office.

Household Income under £25,000 per annum

£115 per week

Band 2

Household Income between £25,000 - £55,000 per annum

£130 per week

Band 3

Household Income over £55,000 per annum

£145 per week

 Proof of Household Income will be required to confirm banding.
