Hours: 20 hours per week (10.00am – 2pm) – Term time only
Comet Nursery School and Children’s Centre would like to appoint a passionate and motivated member of staff to join our team as a Nursery Assistant. You will assist in ensuring children have the best possible care, whilst meeting their individual needs. You will also work within a small team to provide a family style lunch and encourage children to try a range of healthy foods. During the lunchtime period you will also support children’s play and learning experiences.
You will need energy, commitment, a sense of humour and:
- Experience of working with children under 5
- A kind and caring attitude to young children
- A good understanding of the importance of healthy food choices and an ability to see lunchtimes as a learning experience
- Ability to support play and learning for children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to be flexible in the post
